AWA-01: AI Awareness™

About Course

Artificial intelligence is already appearing inside everyday business tools, but knowing that AI exists is not the same as knowing how to make sound business decisions about it. AWA-01: AI Awareness™ gives business owners, founders, managers, and team leaders a practical foundation for understanding AI without requiring a technical background.

The course explains what AI is, how it differs from traditional software and automation, what generative AI can and cannot do, why fluent output is not proof of accuracy, and where AI may create value across common business functions. Learners also examine privacy, verification, human oversight, and higher-consequence uses so that opportunity is considered alongside responsibility.

The final module deliberately stops before implementation. Learners identify potential opportunities, create a high-level process sketch, prioritize one area for further exploration, set basic boundaries, and complete an AI Awareness Business Canvas™. Detailed process redesign, data preparation, tool selection, pilot design, measurement planning, and implementation belong in the next maturity stage: AI Readiness.

The SH3 Digital Academy approach is business first, AI second, with human oversight throughout. The objective is not to make learners dependent on a particular platform. It is to give them the judgment, vocabulary, and practical tools needed to decide where AI may belong in their business, where it does not, and what must be prepared before moving forward.
